I'm really interested in how you have done the grass. In my experience grass is a huge pain in the ass to do. A separate tutorial on your style of doing grass would be most welcome if you ever have the time.
I'm really interested in the changes you made to the positions of the roses. At first they were growing every which way, then facing him, then the one on the left turned as if it couldn't watch. The flowers feel almost sentient here, like observers... Very cool.
I have always admired and loved your art but this time you have out done yourself according to me. I love love love it already and can't wait to see the final product.
I assume this is your interpretation of the Little Prince and his love for his rose (although here there are not one but many lol) which is inspired from the novel Le Petit Prince by Antonio de Saint-Exupéry, I love that book.
Hmmm... seems like your Little Prince has secured his rose (or roses) under the safety of the glass globe/s and he's ready with his kite to leave his planet to explore the universe!
Thank you for your comment. Actually, my interpretation will be different, but each one can interpret this image.
For me, this is not a " safety " this is a control, he is like a " perfect lover " " a strong paladin", " a gardian " but when he protects them, it prevents them to grow, breathe, live. They are only loved, he is afraid his precious roses could be hurt, but they are withering because of all the protections
Yes, I agree many times the feeling of protectiveness is born out of love but after a point it starts to hamper the person who is being protected. The lover might hamper the thing/person it loves unknowingly and would feel that this protection is good like its his way of showing that he loves and cares but actually all this protection could effects the person(roses) in a negative way.
I like your idea and the point you want to present is quite evident in your art. Great job.
