I wanted to use this tutorial since monday, but I still think it will turn out horrible... Your paintings are too amazing T^T
I'm now, like, on the step after A and before B of this tut, but I had no idea what colors I want to use so it's all blue. What should I do now? I still don't have an idea for the colors. And how to sharpen lines... It's all black magic for me! ._.
It's some rocks, water, grass and forest in the bg (i'll add two people on the rocks later). Can it be, like, green instead of orange? Btw how do i put colors and sharpen the lines now, exactly? I don't have any idea what brush to use! Thanks for help, btw...
Eh, I suck in drawing at the moment and wanted to change a style to learn a few things. But my only program is GIMP now. It isn't compatible with WACOM tablet, uhh... Where have you got your PS7 from? Did you download a pirate version or you bought one?
wow. that's alot of patience. i kind of like the texture of the tree trunk in the final. its super cracked look gives it that feeling of old, wise, and shows that it has been through alot in its life time. i really like it. you have some real talent there!
Honestly, I think you should have left just a little bit of blur to the closest crow and the time near it; it makse the girl the main focus of the picture (even more than before), and adds a bit more interest. You didn't have to have the blue so pronounced as it was before, nor have it as sharp.
But, all-in-all, I very nice picture with great attention to detail.
I have to say I'm really impressed by the way you have enough patience to share your steps throughout the piece.
This artwork is beautiful, and it was very interesting seeing the piece come to fruition.
Beside that, what I noticed while looking over the progress, I noticed that I quite liked the effect the blurred (the nearest) crow was, it completely switched the focus on Olivia (as it is, but more emphasized that way) and gave a lot of emotional meaning to it.
i know i have no right to tell you anything but if your focus is supose to be on the girl i think you should keep the birds in the back not blured and the bird in the front with the tail/roseb bud? blured :< i meen it looks nice and i don't know how to do this but i thought i would share my opionon(sp can't spell)
can I request a very small tiny little tutorial on how to make the texture of the trunk, I love your tutorials because they are veryyyyy helpful and I understand them more than the rest of the tutorials here, because you talk to us when u explain and u suppose we dont know so u try your best to explain, other tutorials assume we know everything and we feel lost... so plzzz little help is sooo much appreciated T.T
how did you learn to paint the girl in the picture so well though? Is there any specific website that you go to that taught you how to get where you are now? I mean you can't have been this good in the begaining, so if you could tell me how you learned how to paint so well that would be great. thanx.^^
Thanks for sharing your process -- and sometime frustration. I have wondered how these beautiful and moving works of art were accomplished and you've given me a small peek. You are right - Olivia's face is the key. Great effect.
