This. Is. The most amazing tutorial I've ever come across. It's definitely the most unique one. I love the analogy of the turtle shells, because that "blending" is something I think I can apply to art much better than the dry "pick these two colors because they contrast well" method.

I don't know how well I'll be able to use this, since I use traditional mediums and not even very good ones. But I'm going to be thinking of this the next time I try to color a full scene. I've always ignored things like color theory because I just don't understand them. This really will help.

I always have trouble with color schemes... this is an interesting and unique way to pick the colors you're going to use in a painting. I really like it! I will have to try out this idea sometime. Thank you for this tutorial, your paintings are gorgeous too by the way :)
