Artist's Comments If you are lost, follow the plane... This is a drawing done for a post-rock band called " the northstar is an airplane " (~athousandpapercranes).I liked this name, that's why I accepted to draw something for them. I tried to be original. I am not satisfied by this picture, but... oh yeah I will do better the next time ! The character is called Daphne. I worked it on paper , to find a concept. Then I tried to draw an oekaki, but my submission didnt work lol so I finished it with photoshop 7, and I tried a bit painter 8... The next time I will search graphic references before drawing something... it will avoid to draw so many mistakes. Time: one week ( ~30 hours )Software: photoshop 7 + painter 8 ( I tried, I tried...) Tools: mouse + tablet ( hehe I tried to, but I need more pratice >< ) Real size: 3600 x 4500 pxs Daily DeviationGiven 2005-04-27The northstar is an airplane, a guide, a light in the dark.
